For research, DOI and arXiv lookup and read-only Zotero imports help bring papers into your library. Citation controls, section navigation, notes and exports help you move between a listening pass and closer reading. English-first scientific speech handling supports common notation; complex equations, tables and OCR can need review.

There is no Earlo login or cloud speech service. Saved narration happens locally, while optional iCloud sync uses your Apple Account. Online sources still need a connection to import their content.
You choose what to import, export or share. Ask AI prepares a selected passage and citation for an external app; you decide whether to send it. Earlo preserves the source so you can check the words and details for yourself.
